How do I know where to set the sliders?

How much is too much or too little rain? One approach is to click on your current home county on the map and see how much rain you experience there. The county profile page will show you how much rain that county receives each year. If the number displays with a blue background (see the top image below), your county is within your acceptable range. If out of your range, it will have a white background (see the bottom image below).
